
Renowned Bollywood actor Dharmendra, a towering figure in Indian cinema for over six decades, has passed away at the age of 89. He died peacefully at his Mumbai home on November 24, 2025. While official details are pending, sources confirm that the beloved actor succumbed to a period of deteriorating health. His demise occurs just before his 90th birthday, which would have been celebrated in December.
The health of the veteran star became a concern when he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on November 13, 2025. His hospitalization prompted an outpouring of support and visits from prominent personalities including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. His family had maintained that he was stable and under observation, requesting that their privacy be respected. Previously, on October 31, he had undergone a hospital visit described by his team as a routine check-up, with assurances that there was no cause for alarm.
Amidst his hospitalization, fabricated reports of Dharmendra’s death began circulating widely on social media platforms, creating confusion and distress among his admirers. Esha Deol responded decisively to the false rumors, confirming her father’s steady recovery and urging an end to the spread of misinformation. She expressed her disappointment with the media’s overreach, emphasizing her father’s stable condition and the family’s need for privacy.
Hema Malini also provided reassurance, informing the public that Dharmendra was being closely monitored at Breach Candy Hospital and was surrounded by his loved ones.
