
Actor Diljit Dosanjh has received a Best Actor nomination at the International Emmys for his portrayal in the film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila,’ which has also secured a nomination for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series. Dosanjh stated he was deeply honored that the story of Amar Singh Chamkila, a Punjabi artist, is being celebrated internationally. Director Imtiaz Ali described the film’s exploration of Punjab’s music, society, and issues, highlighting the importance of Chamkila’s life. Ali praised the entire team, especially Dosanjh for his dedication to the role, and acknowledged Netflix’s support. Parineeti Chopra also stars in the film, which is available on Netflix. Dosanjh is competing against David Mitchell, Oriol Pla, and Diego Vasquez for the award.
