Diljit Dosanjh has addressed rumors about his potential exit from ‘Border 2’ following the controversy surrounding his collaboration with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in ‘Sardaar Ji 3.’ Amidst calls for a ban on his upcoming projects and criticism from various film bodies, Dosanjh used Instagram to assert his continued presence in the film. His post featured a behind-the-scenes video of him wearing army badges with his name, accompanied by the caption ‘Border 2’ and the patriotic song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from the original ‘Border’ film. This move served as a direct response to the speculation. The controversy arose after the trailer of ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ dropped, leading to significant backlash and restricted release of the film to overseas markets only. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also took strong action, appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urging the CBFC to deny certification to his future projects. ‘Border 2’ features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Vinali Bhatnagar, Paramvir Cheema, Nishan Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Mouni Roy, and Sai Dibyajyoti Behera.
