Hashmi has commenced filming for ‘Awarapan 2’, the sequel to his well-regarded film ‘Awarapan’. This announcement comes after a period of anticipation among his fans. The film was initially announced on Emraan Hashmi’s birthday in March 2025.
Emraan Hashmi traveled a considerable distance of 5000 kilometers from Mumbai to begin the filming of ‘Awarapan 2’. The filmmakers shared a picture from the inaugural shot on Instagram, accompanied by a tagline referencing a hit track from the original ‘Awarapan’.
‘Awarapan 2’ is being produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films banner. The producers have officially declared the commencement of filming. The team, including Emraan, is currently in Bangkok, approximately 5000 kilometers from Mumbai, actively engaged in the shooting process. The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar with the story written by Bilal Siddiqui. Concurrently, the release date has also been made public.
‘Awarapan 2’ is slated for a theatrical release on April 3, 2026. The film’s debut is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike.
