This song was a rare collaboration between rivals Mohd. Rafi and Kishore Kumar. Laxmikant-Pyarelal brought the singing legends together for this vibrant celebration of friendship. On-screen, Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha acted as friends while allegedly not getting along. Mr. Bachchan also featured in another evergreen friendship song ‘Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Chhodenge’ in *Sholay*.
