Actress Gauahar Khan, a prominent figure from Bigg Boss history, has publicly condemned Tanya Mittal for her continuous body-shaming of fellow Bigg Boss 19 contestant Ashnoor Kaur. Khan expressed her strong stance on social media, calling Mittal’s behavior ‘absolutely disgusting.’
Initially finding Mittal’s on-screen persona somewhat amusing, Khan stated that the ongoing pattern of body-shaming Ashnoor, especially behind her back, has crossed a line. Mittal has reportedly made hurtful comments, referring to Ashnoor as an ‘elephant’ and criticizing her appearance, suggesting she looks older and is ‘chubby.’ Khan highlighted an incident involving a dress, where Mittal’s comment about Ashnoor looking like a ‘Barbie’ was laced with sarcasm, aimed at belittling her. Khan stressed that gossiping and demeaning others based on their physical appearance is inappropriate and that self-worth should not be tied to putting others down.
Khan elaborated on the true meaning of beauty, stating, ‘No matter how beautiful or expensive the attire you wear, if your thinking is not good, you are not beautiful at all.’ She emphasized that inner character and kindness are paramount, far outweighing external looks.
The controversy ignited when Mittal called Ashnoor an ‘elephant’ during a task. Furthermore, a recent live feed revealed a conversation between Mittal and Neelam Giri, where they discussed Ashnoor’s supposed weight gain, expressing bewilderment that it occurred despite daily gym visits. They also dissected Ashnoor’s wardrobe choice for a recent episode, deeming the dress unsuitable for her current physique and suggesting it would flatter Mittal or Giri more.
This barrage of negative comments has led to a significant backlash from Bigg Boss fans online. Many have voiced their anger, accusing Mittal and Giri of overstepping boundaries and engaging in unacceptable body-shaming directed at the young Ashnoor Kaur.
