Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are gearing up to commence production on ‘Golmaal Five’ in early 2026, following their successful collaboration on 13 previous box office hits. The fifth installment of the comedy franchise is currently in the scripting stage. Shetty is presently occupied with the Rakesh Maria biopic, with plans to complete filming by September 2025 and finalize the editing by the year’s end. Immediately after completing the biopic, Shetty will move to the preparation of ‘Golmaal Five’, with the intention to begin filming by February or March 2026. A fresh team of writers is working on the script, with the aim to finalize it by September 2025. The film will see the return of the core cast including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever. Since its inception in 2006, the ‘Golmaal’ franchise has become a beloved comedy series in Indian cinema, consistently topping box office charts and amassing a devoted fanbase. Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn has several projects in the pipeline, including ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ and ‘Drishyam 3,’ with releases planned for later this year or next year. He has also completed the shoot for ‘Dhamaal 4,’ which is set to release in 2026.
