The curtain rose on the epic war drama ‘The Battle of Shatrughat’ at IFFI Goa 2025, revealing a visually arresting poster that has generated considerable buzz. This highly anticipated film, featuring a powerhouse cast led by Gurmeet Choudhary and debutante Aarushi Nishank, delves into themes of honour, destiny, and large-scale conflict. The ensemble also includes Sidharth Nigam, Mahesh Manjrekar, Raza Murad, and Zarina Wahab, promising a feast for the eyes and a compelling story.

These contrasting character presentations emphasize the narrative’s complexities and Aarushi’s pivotal position.
Directed by Shahid Kazmi, with Sajad Khaki penning the script and Darshan Kamwal designing the costumes, ‘The Battle of Shatrughat’ aims to be a visually rich and emotionally resonant cinematic journey. Choudhary has spoken enthusiastically about the film, calling it a ‘labour of love’ and a departure into a ‘whole new space’ for him, perfectly blending historical drama with elements of romance and war.
