‘Homebound,’ featuring Vishal Jethwa, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ishaan Khatter, has made its theatrical debut in India. The film has received accolades globally, with critics highlighting its plot, performances, and directing. However, despite the positive reception, ‘Homebound’ has experienced a low opening weekend at the box office. On its first day, the film earned just Rs 29 lakh. The film is India’s official selection for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards. The film’s director, Neeraj Ghaywan, expressed his gratitude for the selection. The film also gained support from Martin Scorsese, who joined as executive producer. The movie premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival and was showcased at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and the Melbourne International Film Festival.
