Kunickaa Sadanand began her acting journey in Delhi theater before entering the film industry. She made her debut at 28 in the film Qabristaan (1988). She has since worked in more than 110 films, frequently portraying bold and often negative characters. Her prominent roles include films such as Beta, Gumraah, and Khiladi. She is also remembered for her role as Shanti, a supportive friend in Hum Saath-Saath Hain, and for playing an 18-year-old mother in the TV classic Swabhimaan.
Her personal life has been marked by significant challenges, including two failed marriages and an eight-year custody battle concerning her son. She has expressed that she holds no regrets and maintains friendly relationships with both of her ex-husbands. Now, she works as a motivational speaker, using her experiences to inspire others.
Kunickaa shared details of her six-year relationship with Kumar Sanu in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. This relationship started while he was still married. Their connection was kept private, with joint appearances limited to stage performances. She was deeply involved in his career, helping with his wardrobe and show arrangements, considering their relationship similar to a marriage. However, she later learned things about him that caused her emotional distress.
The theme of Bigg Boss 19, ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar,’ was revealed in a promo featuring Salman Khan. The specifics of how this theme will be implemented in the show’s challenges are yet to be fully announced.
