
‘Kesari Chapter 2,’ starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan, made a significant impact in theaters. The movie, based on ‘The Case That Shook The Empire,’ tells the story of C Sankaran Nair’s fight against the British Crown, holding them accountable for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. This film is also the directorial debut of Karan Singh Tyagi. Following its theatrical release, the film is now slated for an OTT debut.
‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is scheduled to release on JioHotstar on June 13. Announcing the release date, JioHotstar stated, “The story you know, the truth you don’t! Witness the aftermath of Jallianwala Bagh, in #KesariChapter2 streaming June 13 on JioHotstar.”
The film was also praised by numerous celebrities and politicians who extended their support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the contributions of C Sankaran Nair in a speech. Akshay shared the video on Instagram, expressing his gratitude and writing, “Thank you Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for remembering the great Chettur Sankaran Nair ji and his contribution to our freedom struggle. It is so important that we as a nation, especially the younger generation values the great women and men who fought valiantly to ensure that we breathe in a free country! The movie also features Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Alexx O’Nell, Amit Sial, Mark Bennington, and Krish Rao. Before the release of ‘Kesari Chapter 2,’ Akshay shared behind-the-scenes images, writing, “You must have heard many stories but this is a storm. C.
