Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has approached the Delhi High Court to combat the unauthorized use of her name, photos, and AI-generated content. The case, as reported by Bar and Bench, aims to protect the actress’s personality and publicity rights. Her legal team, led by Sandeep Sethi, presented the court with evidence of online misuse, including the creation of fake images. The court has indicated that it will issue an order to prevent others from exploiting her identity for financial gain or promotion without her consent. Justice Tejas Karia stated the court’s commitment to removing offending web links. Advocates Praveen Anand and Dhruv Anand, representing Bachchan, detailed instances of identity theft and the distribution of altered images. Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi argued that the misuse extended to exploiting her image for illicit purposes. The case follows precedents set in similar cases involving other Bollywood figures.
