Fans of the late filmmaker Vikram Sugumaran can now watch his debut film, Madhai Yaani Kootam, on Zee5. The film, a thriller, was released in cinemas on December 25, 2013, and features Kathir and Vela Ramamoorthy. The film was a box office success. The cast included Kalaiyarasan, V. Jayaprakash, Vee Jenish, Kaali Venkat, and P. Virumandi. The film was produced by G. V. Prakash Kumar, N. P. K. S. Logu, and Go. Venkatesh. Vikram Sugumaran, who also helmed Raavan Kootam, tragically passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 47.
