Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ provides a look into the Hindi film industry. The series, produced by Gauri Khan, features a recreation of the popular 1997 song ‘Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela’ from the film ‘Gupt.’ The remake features Mona Singh. The original dancer in the ‘Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela’ sequence was Bhanu Khan, a well-known background dancer in the 90s. In the original song, she played a stylish bartender alongside Bobby Deol, and her dance in the white dress is still remembered. She was a prominent dancer during the 90s, performing alongside many actors. Her work extended beyond ‘Gupt,’ with memorable appearances in songs like ‘Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge’ (Raja Hindustani, 1996), ‘Gutur Gutur’ (Dalaal, 1993), and ‘Ram Kasam Mera Bada Naam Ho Gaya’ (Gumrah, 1993).
The plot of the series focuses on a new Bollywood superstar, Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya). The series stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor. Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, Aamir Khan, SS Rajamouli, Karan Johar, Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh will be seen in cameo roles.
