Nafisa Ali, a well-known figure in Bollywood, is currently battling stage 4 peritoneal and ovarian cancer. Her inspiring journey is being documented on social media, where she shares her experiences with remarkable courage. Her recent Instagram post featured a picture of herself with a shaved head, a result of her ongoing chemotherapy.
Ali was born in Kolkata. Her diverse career includes being a national swimming champion from 1972-1974 and later participating in beauty pageants. She was crowned Eve’s Weekly Miss India in 1976 and represented India in the Miss International competition. She began her film career with ‘Junoon’ in 1979, followed by roles in notable films such as ‘Kshatriya,’ ‘Aatank,’ ‘Major Saab,’ ‘Bewafaa,’ ‘Big B,’ ‘Life in a Metro,’ and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana.’ Her most recent film was 2022’s ‘Uunchai.’
Ali has also been involved in politics, contesting in Lok Sabha elections. She has been affiliated with a few political parties. Ali shared her new look along with a message.
