
‘Mahavatar Narsimha’, the widely acclaimed animated film, is set to release on Netflix, following its successful theatrical run. The movie performed remarkably well at the box office, surprising many, even without relying on star power.
The streaming service Netflix will release ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ on September 19, 2025. It will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Netflix India promoted the release with the announcement: “Bhakti shakti ka roop legi, Aa raha hai Mahavatar Narsimha. Watch Mahavatar Narsimha, out 19 September, 12:30 PM, on Netflix.”
Aditya Raj Sharma provides the voice for Hiranyakashipu, Haripriya Matta voices Prahlad, and Harjeet Walia voices Lord Narsimha. The voice cast also features Sanket Jaiswal, Priyanka Bhandari, Vasundhra Bose, Sanchit Wartak, Saanwari Yagnik, Dinesh Varma, Uplaksh Kochhar, Akshay Joshi, Dixoan Shah, Shahid Zafar, Rakesh Soni, Ayushi Anand and Anshul Sharma.
The story centers around Hiranyakashyap, a demon who proclaims himself as a god, and his son Prahlad’s unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu. To protect Prahlad and defeat Hiranyakashyap, Lord Vishnu appears as Narsimha. ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ is produced by Kleem Productions and presented by Hombale Films, known for producing successful Kannada films like ‘KGF Chapter 1’, ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘Salaar’ and ‘Kantara’.
The filmmakers have plans for the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, which will feature films based on the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The movie is directed by Ashwin Kumar and written by Jayapurna Das. The soundtrack and background score were composed by Sam C. S., with Ajay Verma and Ashwin Kumar serving as the editors.
