Krishnakumar Ramakumar’s *Oho Enthan Baby* presents a narrative centered on character transformation. The film features a cast of individuals, including men with toxic tendencies, who undergo a process of repentance and change.
The film’s focus is on the characters’ journeys. Despite the potentially convoluted plot, the core concept of addressing toxicity remains central. The story, written by Mukesh Manjunath and Sarada Ramanathan, uses a variety of narrative devices to explore this theme.
The story follows Ashwin (Rudra), a young aspiring filmmaker, as he navigates his own relationships. Ashwin recounts his experiences to actor Vishnu Vishal, who portrays himself in the film, creating a layered narrative structure.
The incorporation of a film-within-a-film permits the inclusion of some familiar cinematic beats. The climax, where Ashwin seeks to reconcile with Meera (Mithila Palkar) in Manipal, echoes similar scenes from *Jab We Met*. Despite these familiar elements, the film maintains its own distinct appeal.
The plot incorporates several derivative story elements. The characters, despite their flaws, remain likable. Ashwin, driven by his internal struggles, has a compelling determination to grow.
The film starts with Ashwin’s early romantic interest in Raveena (Vaibhavi Tandle). The reasoning behind Raveena’s actions, which involve leading Ashwin on while she is involved with another individual, is not clearly established.
The Raveena portion of the story is brief, whereas the Meera storyline drives the narrative. At times, the characters’ emotional outbursts feel contrived, though they ultimately surpass the confines of the screenplay.
The film provides an enjoyable viewing experience, though it is not without flaws.
