The wait is over for fans eager to catch a glimpse of ‘Perfect Family,’ as its official trailer has now been released. This fresh Punjabi dramedy, starring Neha Dhupia and Gulshan Devaiah, promises a slice-of-life experience, showcasing the endearing imperfections and lively dynamics of an Indian family. Viewers can expect a narrative that skillfully blends humor with heartfelt moments.
The series features a compelling ensemble cast, including Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, and Girija Oak Godbole, who bring the characters to life. Created by Palak Bhambri and brought to screen by director Sachin Pathak, ‘Perfect Family’ will be available on JAR Series’ YouTube channel starting November 27.
Expressing his views on the show’s theme, Gulshan Devaiah highlighted its cultural relevance. “Perfect Family is the kind of story that feels both entertaining and necessary. As Indians, we hardly ever talk openly about mental health, especially within the family. This show approaches that discomfort with a lot of heart and humour. Playing a character who is trying to hold his family together while navigating therapy sessions was both fun and deeply meaningful. I think audiences will see a bit of themselves in every character and hopefully take away something genuine while enjoying a good laugh.” His words point to the show’s intention to foster open dialogues about mental well-being.
Neha Dhupia resonated with the script’s candid portrayal of family life. “When I first heard the script of Perfect Family, I instantly connected with how honest, funny and relatable it was. Families can be messy, emotional, dramatic and that’s exactly what makes them beautiful. What I loved most is how the show talks about therapy without making it heavy; instead, it talks normalising therapy. Working with this cast was an absolute joy, and I can’t wait for audiences to meet this perfectly imperfect family,” she remarked. This production also marks a significant milestone as Pankaj Tripathi ventures into producing.
