Ranbir Kapoor is currently a major force in Bollywood, with a slate of high-profile projects. Following his success in ‘Animal,’ he is working on the first part of the 4000 crore ‘Ramayana’ and is engaged with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War.’ Unexpectedly, one of his upcoming films has been postponed, a project with a director who is known for films grossing 700 crores. This has sparked speculation about Aamir Khan’s involvement. Aamir Khan returned to the screen this year with ‘Sitare Zameen Par,’ and is reportedly selecting scripts for his next film. It appears the director, who had been planning a film with Ranbir Kapoor, has now shifted focus. That director is Rajkumar Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor previously worked with Hirani on ‘Sanju,’ in which he played Sanjay Dutt. A new report suggests a biopic about a sportsperson has been moved to 2027, thus delaying the Ranbir Kapoor-Rajkumar Hirani collaboration. The pair had spent a year developing the project. Due to the success and high expectations of ‘Sanju,’ Rajkumar Hirani decided to delay the project. Given Ranbir Kapoor’s current commitments, the project will be revisited later. Rajkumar Hirani’s film ‘PK’ earned over 700 crores. The director is reportedly discussing a film with Aamir Khan, which is set to be on Dadasaheb Phalke. The schedule includes workshops in December, with shooting expected to commence in January 2026, paving the way for Ranbir Kapoor’s film.
