The plan for a significant war film starring Salman Khan, to be directed by Farhan Akhtar, was scrapped. Akhtar, who has directed Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, was aiming to work with Salman Khan to complete a hat trick of directing the three major Khans of Bollywood. The film was conceived to be a large-scale war movie, but the project never moved beyond the planning stage.
Akhtar had chosen the historical context of the 1962 India-China war for the film, and selected Salman Khan as the lead. Although the director contacted the superstar, the film did not get made.
