With Bigg Boss 19, the latest season of Salman Khan’s show, set to launch on August 24, 2025, anticipation is high. Despite its popularity, the show’s ratings have recently seen a decrease, with some viewers criticizing its engagement. Rishi Negi, COO of the Bigg Boss production house, has shared insights into the new season, addressing the potential to match the success of season 13 and providing specifics about what to expect.
Bigg Boss 19 will be themed around politics. The season will feature a ‘Housemates’ Government’, in which the contestants will engage in political gameplay. Rishi Negi discussed the concerns that the show is scripted, stating that contestants are provided tasks and feedback solely through Salman Khan and that no outside influence is present during the 105-day period. The political theme has been chosen to give fans tasks based on political structures.
The aim is to provide a more fair environment in the house. It will provide a democratic setting for the housemates to understand the dynamics of power and decision-making processes better. The producers believe it will help fans to reconnect with the show.
On the question of whether Bigg Boss 19 will be able to match the success of Bigg Boss 13, Rishi Negi stated that season 13 was iconic, thanks to the contestants, like Shefali, Siddharth, Asim, and Shehnaaz, and the fantastic mix of the cast. He expressed confidence in this season’s casting, emphasizing that they are focusing on characters who bring vibrancy, and not just on the controversy. He believes that this new season will be a huge success.
