
Sanjay Dutt, a prominent figure in Bollywood, had associations with Abu Salem, which resulted in legal repercussions. He was found guilty of possessing illegal weapons related to the 1993 Mumbai bombings, the weapons being supplied by Abu Salem. Besides this, Sanjay Dutt had a meeting with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, and even attended a party hosted by Dawood. This information was disclosed by Sanjay Dutt himself in an interview.
Following his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case, Sanjay Dutt underwent questioning by both law enforcement and investigative bodies. During these interrogations, the actor discussed his meeting with Dawood. He had met Dawood during the filming of ‘Yalgaar’, facilitated by actor and director Firoz Khan.
Sanjay Dutt revealed that he had allocated dates for ‘Yalgaar’ to Firoz Khan in December 1991. Firoz Khan directed the film, which was also shot in Dubai. It was during this time that Firoz Khan introduced Sanjay Dutt to Dawood Ibrahim. Sanjay stated, “Firoz Khan introduced me to Dawood Ibrahim during the shooting.”
Sanjay further elaborated on attending a party at Dawood’s residence. He mentioned that Firoz had introduced him to Dawood’s brother, Anees, during the shoot. Anees subsequently frequently visited the ‘Yalgaar’ sets. The actor stated, “One day during the shooting, Dawood invited our entire unit to his house for dinner. Like the other unit members, I too attended that party.”
Sanjay Dutt also noted that during the party, he interacted with several individuals associated with the underworld, including Iqbal Mirchi, Sharad Shetty, and Chota Rajan. Besides the ‘Yalgaar’ unit members, a number of Pakistani artists were also present at the party.
