The news of his demise, attributed to kidney complications, was confirmed on Saturday, with many from the film and television fraternity gathering at his Mumbai home on Sunday to pay their final respects. Shah, beloved for his roles in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai,’ ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro,’ and ‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi,’ left an enduring legacy of laughter and memorable characters. Colleagues like Ratna Pathak Shah, Dilip Joshi, Johny Lever, Sumeet Raghvan, and Ashoke Pandit were among those who offered their condolences, reflecting the deep respect he commanded.
