Speculation surrounding the wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal has been rife, but recent statements from the Muchhal family indicate that the ceremony, though delayed, is not cancelled. The nuptials were postponed at the last minute due to the critical health of Smriti Mandhana’s father. The situation took another turn when Palash Muchhal also experienced a health problem, leading to his hospitalization.
Both Smriti’s father and Palash have now recovered sufficiently to be discharged from the hospital. This turn of events has rekindled fan excitement about when the wedding will finally take place. Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, had previously confirmed the postponement, appealing for respect for the family’s privacy during their trying times. Her announcement served as an official confirmation of the wedding’s temporary halt.
Amidst a flurry of rumors, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has provided a crucial update, aiming to quell any doubts about the wedding’s future. She stated that the wedding is still very much planned and will happen soon. “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome… Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi,” she shared. This statement comes as a direct response to the unease caused by Smriti Mandhana’s social media activity, specifically the removal of some wedding-related posts, which fans interpreted as a sign of cancellation.
It is understood that Palash’s health scare involved a significant increase in blood pressure, leading to his admission to hospitals in Sangli and subsequently Mumbai. He has since been released, and his condition is now stable.
