‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ opened with a collection of Rs 2.7 crore on its first day of release. It showed considerable growth over the weekend, earning Rs 4 crore on Day 2, Rs 7.6 crore on Day 3, and peaking at Rs 10.1 crore on Day 4. Although the earnings dipped slightly during the weekdays, the film recovered with strong numbers later in the week. The total collection for the first week reached Rs 54.7 crore. In the second weekend, the film maintained its consistent performance, earning Rs 7.65 crore on Day 9, Rs 10 crore on Day 10, and Rs 10.25 crore on Day 11, bringing the total collection to Rs 82.6 crore in just 11 days.
‘Lokah Chapter 1’ introduces the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe (WCU) through a fusion of Indian folklore, modern sci-fi, and horror. The film features Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, Sandy, along with supporting actors. The film’s streaming partner has yet to be confirmed. It is speculated to be available on Netflix after its theatrical run, aligning with the release strategy of previous films produced by Dulquer Salmaan.
