Malayalam actress Swasika, however, has revealed she turned down a role in Ram Charan’s upcoming film, ‘Peddi.’ The specific role offered to Swasika was that of Ram Charan’s mother. Discussing the decision in a recent interview, Swasika shared that she has often played older characters, including motherly roles, in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Despite this, she felt hesitant about portraying the mother of an actor significantly older than herself. Swasika, who is 33, was offered to play the mother of Ram Charan, who is 40. She stated that while she receives motherly roles regularly, the offer to play Ram Charan’s mother was surprising and led to her refusal. She added she might consider similar roles in the future but is not ready at this stage in her career.
