Agnihotri wants to show what happened in Bengal and why it was divided. He questioned the attempts to suppress his film, comparing it to the freedom given to films about the Nazi holocaust and Hiroshima. He also mentioned receiving death threats and discussed the challenges of making sociopolitical films in the current environment. Agnihotri pointed out that many historical films are subjective. He also spoke about the lack of films about the Partition of Bengal compared to the Partition of Punjab. He addressed the concerns of Gopal Mukherjee’s family.
