
The Bhojpuri music scene often highlights male singers like Khesari Lal Yadav and Pawan Singh. However, female vocalists, including the late Sharda Sinha and Kalpana Patowary, have made a mark. Patowary, who began her career around 2000, is still admired for her contribution to the industry.
Kalpana Patowary, 46, hails from Assam, where she completed her education, including a degree in English Literature. She further honed her skills by studying classical music at Lucknow University. ‘Jab Se Chadhal Ba Jawani’: This song was part of the 2008 album ‘Haye Re Nathuniya’ and was uploaded to the Wave Music YouTube channel in 2016. Vinay Bihari wrote the lyrics, while Rajesh Gupta composed the music. Raj Kumar Rahul directed the music video.
