Umesh Shukla, the director of ‘OMG: Oh My God!’, has spoken out about the comparisons between his film and Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’, clarifying the situation. Shukla explained that any similarities were likely due to parallel creative thinking, rather than one film copying the other. He directly addressed and dismissed the rumor that he was bribed to halt the release of ‘OMG’. Shukla said that his film was based on a play and that the ‘PK’ team had seen it. Shukla used the example of love stories to illustrate how common certain themes are in cinema. He acknowledged that both films addressed themes of faith and religion. He also mentioned that the individuals involved in the films, including Rajkumar Hirani, were too talented to resort to such tactics. ‘OMG’ and ‘PK’, despite their different approaches, were both successful. Both movies used their distinctive storytelling to make their points.
