‘War 2,’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, has finally hit the big screen, much to the excitement of fans. This film brings together the two stars for the first time and marks Jr. NTR’s first Bollywood role. While expectations are high, the film is up against tough competition from Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ at the box office.
Early predictions suggest that ‘War 2’ could earn Rs 52.5 crore on its opening day throughout India. The Hindi belt is anticipated to be the biggest contributor, with an estimated Rs 29 crore, followed by the Telugu region with Rs 23.25 crore, and the Tamil market contributing Rs 25 lakh.
Even with the star power and anticipation surrounding it, ‘War 2’ is projected to be behind ‘Coolie’s’ opening day, which collected Rs 65 crore across India.
‘War 2’ also stars Kiara Advani in a leading role, with Ashutosh Rana in a key role. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It is available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Jr. NTR shared his positive experiences of working on ‘War 2’, specifically praising Hrithik Roshan and director Ayan Mukerji. He emphasized the positive atmosphere on set and the knowledge he gained during the filming process. He is looking forward to the audience’s reception of the film, which is scheduled to premiere on August 14th.
The film also features cameo appearances from Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Bobby Deol’s appearance in the post-credit scene sets the stage for ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, with Deol playing the antagonist. Anil Kapoor is introduced as the new R&AW chief.
