YRF is gearing up for a major film release later this year, with the announcement of ‘Mardaani 3’ coming after the initial details of ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. The year has presented a mixed performance for YRF. While ‘Saiyaara’ exceeded 500 crores, ‘War 2’ starring Hrithik Roshan faced challenges. With excitement building, the franchise is set to continue as the third installment, ‘Mardaani 3,’ has been announced. The announcement was made on the first day of Navratri.
The film stars Rani Mukerji, reprising her role as police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. The release date is set for February 27, 2026. The film is directed by Abhiraj Minawala. There is currently no competition scheduled for release on the same date. Rani Mukerji’s previous film was ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’, and ‘Mardaani 2’ was released on December 13, 2019.
The poster features a Delhi police barricade and police officers, with Rani Mukerji holding a gun. Her first look was revealed with the caption: ‘On the auspicious day of Navratri, celebrate the victory of good over evil.
