Yash Raj Films (YRF) is reportedly re-evaluating its approach to the spy universe, raising questions about the future of ‘Tiger vs Pathaan,’ the crossover film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. While initial reports suggested the project might be delayed, the latest information indicates that YRF is aiming for a creative refresh rather than outright cancellation. The studio’s head, Aditya Chopra, is reportedly concerned about the repetitive nature of the spy films and wants to infuse new life into the franchise. The plan is to revitalize storytelling and presentation to prevent audience fatigue. The YRF Spy Universe began with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and expanded through films like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ ‘War,’ and ‘Pathaan.’ Current projects include ‘Tiger 3,’ ‘War 2,’ and ‘Alpha,’ featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. Both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have upcoming projects, with Salman Khan’s recent film, ‘Sikandar,’ set to premiere on OTT platforms.
