A new flatted factory is being constructed in Yamuna City near the upcoming Noida International Airport, spearheaded by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Located in Sector 28, this project is designed to support the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. The total cost of the project is estimated at ₹125 crore, and it is anticipated to be completed within two years.
A flatted factory is a multi-story structure housing several small production units within a single building. This concept provides significant advantages for small business owners, enhancing space utilization and resource sharing. The project represents a first for the Greater Noida area.
The facility is planned to accommodate over 100 industrial units, covering an area of 38,665 square meters. A Medical Device Park will also be located in the same sector to further drive economic growth. Dr. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, highlighted that the project reflects the government’s commitment to supporting small enterprises. The factory will feature centralized amenities such as air conditioning, elevators, fire safety systems, water supply, and electricity. CCTV security and eco-friendly architectural elements will also be integrated.
The project is expected to attract investors and create employment opportunities. The strategic location near the Noida International Airport is expected to increase passenger traffic, as it will make travel easier for business owners from cities like Jaipur and Mumbai, who currently rely on Delhi Airport for air access.
