Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a central figure in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, has confessed to being a spy for the ISI and the Pakistan army. Rana’s admissions, made to the Mumbai Crime Branch, also confirm his presence in Mumbai during the attacks. He revealed that he and David Coleman Headley received training from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). According to Rana, LeT primarily functioned as a spy network for Pakistan and collaborated with Pakistan’s ISI. He confessed to setting up a Mumbai immigration center through his firm, disguising the financial transactions as business expenses. Rana also admitted he had conducted surveillance of potential targets, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), and the attacks were an ISI plot. The Mumbai Police are gearing up for Rana’s formal arrest. Rana, a Pakistani-born Canadian, was extradited to India after the US Supreme Court dismissed his petition.
