AGRA: A video appearing a lady tied to an electrical pole and being crushed by way of her husband surfaced on social media on Wednesday, days after the incident used to be reported to police.
The 22-second-long video confirmed Shayambihari, the husband of the sufferer, Kusuma, giving her a beating as she is tied to a pole, and later dragging her in the back of him after surroundings her unfastened.
In line with police, the incident came about on July 14 in Arsena village below Sikandra Police Station.
A case towards the person and his mom used to be registered the similar day, and because then each accused had been absconding, police stated.
“The incident is of July 14 of Arsena village below Sikandra Police Station in Agra.
The video of the incident confirmed up on social media on Wednesday,” Anand Kumar Shahi, Sikandra Police Station In-charge, informed PTI.
“The person within the video used to be recognized as Shyambihari, the husband of the sufferer, Kusuma Devi,” he stated.
He stated Shyambihari and his mom, Barfa Devi, had been booked below sections 323 (inflicting harm voluntarily), 504 (insulting deliberately), 342 (wrongful confinement), and 354 (outraging a lady’s modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
Kusuma Devi in her criticism had claimed that on July 14 she used to be crushed by way of her husband and spouse’s mother and used to be threatened not to bitch concerning the incident to police.
“Once they were given to understand that I had long gone to police, my husband tied me with an electrical pole and thrashed me. The video of the incident used to be made by way of neighbours,” she alleged.
