The Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct a major military exercise in the northeastern part of the country between November 13 and November 20. The operation will prominently feature the IAF’s advanced fighter jets, critical air defense assets, and integrated defense systems. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been disseminated to cover the northeastern airspace, ensuring the smooth flow of civilian aviation during the exercise.
This exercise is a vital component in assessing the IAF’s readiness to deploy forces rapidly and effectively along India’s borders with China, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. High-performance aircraft including the Sukhoi-30 MKI, Rafale, Mirage-2000, Tejas, and Jaguar are expected to participate, highlighting the Air Force’s commitment to bolstering national security in a sensitive geopolitical area.
