A concerning incident unfolded at Delhi Airport when an Air India flight from Hong Kong reported a fire after landing. The event took place on Tuesday. Air India officials confirmed the safety of all passengers and crew. Flight AI 315, which flew from Hong Kong to Delhi on July 22, 2025, had an auxiliary power unit (APU) fire shortly after landing and while at the gate, as stated by an Air India spokesperson. The APU’s automatic shutdown occurred while passengers were disembarking. Despite some damage to the aircraft, there were no injuries reported, and everyone evacuated safely. The aircraft is currently grounded for a thorough investigation, and the relevant authorities have been informed.
