
In Rudrapur, at the Uttarakhand Investment Utsav – 2025, Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated the Pushkar Singh Dhami government’s success in securing Rs 1 lakh crore in investments after the 2023 Global Investors Summit. Shah praised the state’s efforts and assured continued support from the Central Government. Shah highlighted his previous remarks at the summit, emphasizing the importance of converting the signed MoUs into actual investments. He expressed satisfaction that the state government had successfully brought in Rs 1 lakh crore in investments, resulting in 81,000 new jobs, with the potential for an additional 250,000 jobs through ancillary industries. The Home Minister noted the expansion of industries in Uttarakhand’s secondary and tertiary cities and the state government’s approach to balancing development with environmental protection. He mentioned the formation of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh, and the ‘double-engine’ government in Uttarakhand since 2014. Shah discussed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contributions to national progress, including economic growth and poverty reduction. He stressed the importance of Uttarakhand’s development for the goal of a Developed India by 2047. He praised the initiatives of the state government in creating a favorable investment climate and predicted the growth of Ayurveda, Yoga, naturopathy, and organic farming. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Amit Shah and celebrated the accomplishment of grounding investments from the Global Investment Summit. Dhami highlighted the state’s potential, entrepreneurial spirit, and public involvement in fostering inclusive development. He noted that over Rs 1 lakh crore in investment proposals from the 2023 Global Investors Summit have been successfully realized. Dhami detailed the state government’s initiatives to boost industrial development, including the implementation of various policies, a venture fund for startups, and the establishment of infrastructure like the Aroma Park, Plastic Park, and logistics centers. Uttarakhand has received recognition in Ease of Doing Business and Startup rankings, and offers more than 260 online business services.
