As part of the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorations, the Indian Army’s Fire and Fury Corps undertook a challenging mountaineering expedition to Mount Kang Yatse in the Markha Valley of Ladakh. The expedition, which commenced on June 25th and concluded on July 4th, 2025, saw the team conquer both Mount Kang Yatse I (6400 m) and Mount Kang Yatse II (6245 m). Mount Kang Yatse I posed a significant test of skill and resilience, given its challenging terrain and unpredictable weather patterns.
