Authorities in Azamgarh are looking into a horrific case where a man, Neeraj Pandey, shot his mother and four-year-old son and then took his own life. The incident occurred in Mustafabad village. Neeraj’s seven-year-old daughter was also wounded and is receiving medical care. Police reports indicate that the man, who worked at a petrol pump in Varanasi, may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident, and a family disagreement might have been the cause. Neighbors who heard the shots quickly went to the scene. Separately, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, a car accident led to two fatalities after a car entered a canal. Investigations are ongoing to identify the number of individuals in the vehicle.
