The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway, a 67-km long project, is now complete after an eight-month delay. Designed to significantly reduce travel time, the route will allow commuters to travel from Bandikui to Jaipur in just 30 minutes. The total cost of the project was approximately ₹1,368 crore, resulting in a four-lane, access-controlled highway that supports speeds of 120 kmph.
The route covers 32.7 km in Dausa district and 34.1 km in Jaipur district. There are five toll plazas, including a virtual plaza at Shyamsinghpura. Car users will pay around ₹150 per one-way trip. Despite being initially planned for completion by November 2024, various factors caused delays. Construction is now finished, and the necessary safety audits have been conducted. The inauguration date is subject to approval from the Union Road Transport Ministry.
It is anticipated that the expressway will be accessible to the public by June 2025. This development will expedite travel between Bandikui and Jaipur and improve connectivity to Delhi-NCR. Commencing at Bagrana on the Jaipur-Agra Road, the new corridor will allow travelers heading toward Delhi to reach their destination within 2.5 to 3 hours.
