
The Prime Minister inaugurated the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro, specifically the RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra section, on Sunday. The event was graced by the presence of the Karnataka Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. The Prime Minister utilized a QR code for ticketing at Raghugudda metro station, after which he officially inaugurated the Yellow Line. The Yellow Line is part of the Metro Phase-2 project, with a route length exceeding 19 km and 16 stations, representing an investment of approximately Rs 7,160 crore. This initiative will increase the operational metro network in Bengaluru to over 96 km. Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project, with a projected investment of more than Rs 15,610 crore. The project encompasses a route exceeding 44 km with 31 elevated stations, designed to address the expanding transportation needs of the city across various sectors.
