Amidst the widespread flooding in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has remained actively involved in relief and aid efforts, despite being hospitalized. From his hospital bed, he held a video call with Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh, praising the singer’s efforts in providing assistance.
Mann specifically acknowledged Preetpal Singh Hanspal of Hanspal Traders for their crucial work in rescuing people and animals stranded by the floods. Hanspal Traders provided over 150 boats to assist in the rescue operations.
Furthermore, CM Mann stated that the people of Punjab, in this crisis, have once again demonstrated their courage, spirit of service, and unity. The government is supporting all those providing aid and saving lives. He emphasized that this support is not just administrative, but also an emotional bond with the people. This is why every Punjabi feels they are not alone.
After feeling unwell, CM Bhagwant Mann was admitted to the hospital on September 5th. Following his recovery, he chaired a cabinet meeting via video conference from the hospital. The meeting was initially postponed. He was also unable to join CM Arvind Kejriwal on a visit to the flood-affected areas.
