A recent Bihar cabinet meeting saw several key decisions, with a major focus on women’s empowerment. The cabinet approved a 35% reservation in state government jobs, specifically for women from Bihar. Other key decisions included the allocation of Rs 105 crore to the Jeevika Cooperative Bank to enhance its financial capacity. Financial support will be given to differently-abled individuals preparing for BPSC and UPSC exams. The cabinet also sanctioned a diesel subsidy for irrigation purposes, and approved the implementation of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy. Additionally, infrastructure development was emphasized with the approval of new residential schools and road projects across the state.
