Following the conclusion of Bihar’s 2025 Assembly election voting, which saw impressive turnouts exceeding 65% and 67% in its phases, exit poll results are now available. These predictions offer an early glimpse into the state’s political future ahead of the official counting on November 14. The prevailing sentiment from multiple exit polls is that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is on track to form the government, with projections consistently placing their seat tally between 130 and 160. Conversely, the Mahagathbandhan, a coalition comprising RJD and other parties, faces a challenging electoral outcome, with estimates suggesting they will secure between 70 and 100 seats. This outcome would fall short of the required majority. The Peoples Pulse exit poll highlights a difference in vote share, favoring the NDA with 46.2% over the Mahagathbandhan’s 37.9%. The prominence of Nitish Kumar within the NDA’s campaign seems to be a significant factor influencing these projections, as Tejashwi Yadav’s campaign efforts have not translated into a leading position according to these early indicators.
