In response to recent comments by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Chirag Paswan declared that Gandhi has already conceded defeat in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Paswan argued that Gandhi’s statements reflect a pattern of blaming external factors for potential electoral losses, including the Election Commission. Paswan suggested that Gandhi should address internal issues within the Congress party.
Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent RJD leader, supported Rahul Gandhi’s criticisms of the Election Commission, accusing the government of undermining constitutional institutions. Yadav alleged BJP influence over election procedures and stressed the importance of safeguarding the integrity of these institutions.
The controversy stems from Rahul Gandhi’s earlier statements on social media, where he criticized the ECI’s response to allegations about the Maharashtra elections. The ECI has since rejected Gandhi’s claims, stating they were unfounded.
