An investigation is underway following a shooting in Araria, Bihar, that claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy and critically injured his father. The incident, which happened in the Mahalgonj area, saw unidentified individuals open fire on the victims as they were sleeping in the verandah of their home. The boy, Abu Aurera, died at the scene after being shot in the head. His father, Maujasin, was wounded and initially treated at Araria Sadar Hospital before being moved to a private hospital in Purnia. The police are working to determine the motive for the attack and apprehend the perpetrators.
