A road project in Bihar has become the subject of public discussion due to its unique design. The road, a segment of the Patna to Gaya route, near the DM office in Jehanabad, has a budget of ₹100 crore. The most controversial aspect is the presence of trees that have been left in the center of the road.
The project’s unusual design has been widely shared on social media. Locals have raised concerns about safety, emphasizing that the trees, especially during nighttime due to the absence of streetlights, are a serious hazard. There have already been instances of two-wheelers colliding with the trees.
The Road Construction Department has stated they were unable to get permission from the Forest Department to cut the trees, leading them to construct the road around the existing trees. The department is waiting for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Forest Department.
