
Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has revealed an important decision to enhance the social security pension scheme, ahead of the state elections. The plan involves a threefold increase in the pension amounts for widows, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.
Currently, these beneficiaries receive ₹400 each month; however, this will soon increase to ₹1100. The revised payments will begin in July. The aim is to make sure that all recipients receive their payments on time, every month.
The announcement comes at a time when various political parties are actively campaigning, and the current government is emphasizing its achievements. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also commended the Chief Minister’s decision as a momentous step for the state’s populace.
