Vijayadashami celebrations across India witnessed a surge in political debate within Bihar. The JDU released an AI-generated video on social media, generating considerable controversy. The video presents a portrayal of Lalu Prasad Yadav as Ravana. The AI-created video depicts Lalu Prasad Yadav with ten heads, each representing an issue such as theft, caste violence, corruption, looting, extortion, kidnapping, and other crimes, before the burning of his effigy. The video shows Lalu Yadav smiling with a lantern pendant. Following this, a person representing the people of Bihar is seen using a bow and arrow to eliminate the Ravana-like figure of Lalu Prasad Yadav, emphasizing the victory of good over evil. The text in the video indicates the people of Bihar will destroy evil this Vijayadashami, underlining the historical defeat of evil. The BJP, in a contrasting move, depicted Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, as Ravana through an image. BJP spokesperson Kundan Krishan stated that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s actions were similar to a demon, creating an environment of fear and insecurity. He added that during Lalu Yadav’s rule, incidents like looting, kidnapping, and rape were common. Krishan believes that the people of Bihar removed Lalu Yadav’s rule and established Ramraj. The BJP asserts that Ramraj will continue, assured by the people of Bihar.
